CineMike Benelux was launched by Viktor Hemmerlé in 2014 as a partner of founding company CineMike GmbH in Germany.
CineMike began operations in 2004 when Michael Krehl and Michael Schiffers decided to combine forces with their wide knowledge and expertise of the audio visual industry. The two originally met in 2000 when Schiffers bought a PSM modified DVD player from Krehl who was working at Cinematrix at the time.
CineMike was also involved in the developing of the 2nd generation picture optimizer with SDI input and DVI with an analog output of up to 1080P, which Schiffers was previously responsible for during his Cinematrix time. Schiffers also developed adding PSM boards into DVD players that could upscale to 1200p, analog RGBHV output for professional monitors and CRT projectors.
Feeling dissatisfied with the performance of standard audio and video equipment offered by manufacturers, CineMike made their first appearance at an audio show in Hannover 2005 with modified Sherwood equipment and Monitor Audio.
In a remarkably short period of time, CineMike made a significant impact on the industry, winning a reward for "Best Value for Money Home Cinema" at the High End Munich show in 2006, one of the most important and respected industry events worldwide.
Today Cinemike offer a full spectrum of modified equipment from source to video display working with top of the range brands including Denon and Marantz, JVC, Bryston, McIntosh and Aurum. CineMike take pride in serving customers with the very best picture and sound quality in the business.
